It started at 4am when we got up to get ready for the day.  By 5:30am, we left our hotel and headed over to our space.  We began to setup just after 6am as the sun lit up the street.  Whenever we come to Carlsbad, we come fully loaded.  So our setup takes over two hours. With a lot of hard work we were able to stand up the tent and our racks within 30 minutes.  Then, the real work starts with hanging our wares on the racks.  Nicole ran around moving hooks around and arranging products for maximum visibility.  Phyllis setup some of the tables and the checkout table.  All the while, Elizabeth sat and supervised our work.

By 8am, we were setup and ready to go.  The first set of cusomers walked in at that time.

By 9am we were super busy.  Customers walked in in bunches.  A lot of custoers came to theshow spec

ifically to shop our booth.

The weather was wonderful most of the day.  It heated up between noon and 2pm but cooled down nicely after that.  We sold out of many items.  We sold out of many of our mermaid products.  We almost sold out out of our hanging light up globes.  We also sold a lot of Halloween products and pumpkins.  People wanted to get an early start on Halloween.   One lady was excited to find that we had brought scrubbies and made a great sales pitch for another lady who wanted to know what they were.

All-in-all a fun day.  It’s always a treat seeing friends and showing us products that they had purchased years ago.

We’re working on new items for the fall shows.  We have three scheduled shows so far.  We’re hoping to add another one before the end of October.  Keep looking at our Event Schedule page to look for upcoming shows.
